On his birthday, the police captain Chernov comes to the office and receives a message that his wife Lyudmila is seriously injured during a home invasion. Doctors save Lyudmila, but she remains in a coma. But one has to live, although it is not easy when there is almost no hope. Stress plays a cruel joke with Chernov – he is starting to see Lyudmila in his dreams. She becomes his guardian angel. Every meeting with her bears a key to a case that Chernov is working.
Only after unwinding the tangle of seemingly unrelated crimes, Chernov will be able to understand what happened on that fateful day. Chernov believes what his wife told him in a dream: the answer will help to bring her out of a coma.
